HISTORIC
In 1844, during a stay at Batz-sur-mer, the French artist COROT painted Bretonnes à la fontaine (Louvre Museum) immortalizing the place on which ENTRESELETSABLE is located now. The well represented on the picture still exists!
Later, the site has been closed with a thick wall in order to be protected from the wind and became the property of a local family working in the salt marshes.
In 1933, it became a playground for a family of a local small trader. Toys from his daughters have been discovered during the construction.
In 2014, the chance created good circumstances and this amazing garden become the ideal place to build a holiday house.
Nowadays, ENTRESELETSABLE welcomes you for serenity and positive moments.
ECO – FRIENDLY
Batz-sur-mer is 3h40 far from Paris by train. Located at 500 meters from the train station, ENTRESELETSABLE places two electric cars at your disposal to discover the peninsula of Guérande, limiting thus the environmental impact of your stay.
ENTRESELETSABLE was built by local artisans. We made a selection of high quality materials for the construction, respecting the latest standards.
Because we think that the first eco-friendly rule is to build to last, we have selected facilities such as geothermal energy for heating and cooling, rainwater harvesting, 100% LED lighting, household electrical appliances A +, bamboo fiber duvets, double flush for toilets, eco-smart showers, eco-friendly cleaning products, Brabancia garbage cans (supporting WeForest and The Ocean Cleanup programs)…
PHILOSOPHY
The owner used his knowledge and his passion for creation and French luxury to create a place where everyone can find the best of his experiences lived in the world. He can also make you discover his best addresses and favorite places he is sharing only with friends.
The specifications of the construction kept three major objectives:
- to respect the environment,
- to develop the diversity of the vernacular architecture,
- to bring a comfort of use.
To create a timeless atmosphere in this unique place, we have combined sophisticated equipment designed by Patricia URQUIOLLA with the industrial and functional style of Philippe STARCK. Moreover, we ordered decoration accessories to Paul HOFFMANN (tripod floor lamp), Emmanuel THOBY (writing desk, living-room furniture and shelving) and Hervé HISLE BEAUCHAINE (lamps).
