La Brière, a haven of nature and peace for an exceptional stay in a natural

The Brière regional natural park is a preserved area and an essential habitat of biodiversity for the region and its surrounding. As a wetland, La Brière is a haven for flora and fauna, both of which are capable of flourishing over the space of 836 hectares of pure nature! This thousand-year-old territory has given rise to a unique architecture, that of thatched cottages can still be found in the villages of the park or on the nearby island of Fédrun. A park discovery by foot, bike, or boat

As a family, with children or grandchildren, come and observe the marsh birds such as the Chickadee or the Marsh Harrier. Throughout the park find villages with their thatched cottages and local markets. Meet and discover artisans and the array of activities that are sure to enhance your stay.
Amidst this space where the influences of the land and sea mingle, you will find remnants of “le morta”, a petrified forest, still being used in local craftsmanship to this day. You can also enjoy La Mare aux Oiseaux, one of the region’s best restaurants, whose cuisine cultivates the peculiarities of the park, as well as the history inside its traditionally thatched establishment.
